The aim and ask:
To promote Sleddog sport as an open, recreative and healthy.
To encourage Sleddog athletes from different countries to come to Latvia, contributing to the development of tourism.
Find out the best athletes in Europe.
To promote interesting and healthy leisure activities for kids, teens, adults and families.

Time and place of the race:
September 23-24, at 11 o'clock

One athlete (juniors, elite, veterans 1 and veterans 2) is not allowed to participate in more than 2 disciplines. Childrens are allowed to participate once. Registration with the same dog is possible only according to IFSS race rules. Organizers will NOT adjust start times for multiple entries later, so, please contact organizers before Your registration via info@racedogeuropean.com.

To open "junior" class: 
In each discipline three fastest will be awarded, if there are 5 participants in each class (example, 5 in “elite” class participants and 5 "junior" class participants). If there are less than 5 participants in each class, then all of them goes into “elite" class and three fastest will be awarded.

To open "veteran" class:
In each discipline three fastest will be awarded, if there are 5 participants in each class (example, 5 in “elite” class participants and 5 "veteran" class participants). If there are less than 5 participants in each class, then all of them goes into “elite" class and three fastest will be awarded.

To split into "veteran 1" and "veteran 2" class:
In each discipline three fastest will be awarded, if there are 5 participants in each class (example, 5 in “veteran 1” class participants and 5 "veteran 2" class participants). If there are less than 5 participants in one of these classes, then all of them goes into “veteran" class and three fastest will be awarded.

The nordic breeds:
In the “Nordic” class the following breeds of dogs are accepted: Samoyed, Greenland dogs, Alaskan Malamute, Siberian Hasky with FCI-recognized pedigrees. You must send pedigrees to e-mail: vet@racedogeuropean.com and take pedigree originals with You to Veterinary control on Saturday.
The “Nordic” class and the “Open” class” will be separated if there are 5 participants in each class (5 in “Nordic” class participants and 5 "Open" class participants). If there are less than 5 participants in each class, then all dogs goes into “Open "class and three fastest will be awarded.
RNB1 and RNB2 will be separated, if there are 5 participants in each class (5 in “RNB1” class participants and 5 "RNB2" class participants).  If there are less than 5 participants in each class, then all goes into common “Nordic" class and three fastest will be awarded.

Scooter discipline:
In each discipline three fastest will be awarded, if there are 5 participants in each class (example, 5 in “scooter elite men” class participants and 5 " scooter elite women" class participants).  If there are less than 5 participants in each class, then all goes into “scooter elite" class.

Dog age: All disciplines from 18 months.

The race distances:
Juniors, Elite, Veterans 1, Veterans 2 distance: 4,2 km
Childrens distance: aprox. 0.8 km

Registration after 16.09.2023. or on the race day is not possible.
If a participant does not come to the competition or cancels the participation after completing the registration, the registration fee will not be refunded.
The registration fee is not refunded even if the participant has come to the competition with inappropriate equipment or with a dog who cannot participate in the competition.

The registration fee has to be paid by bank transfer during 24 hour period.
The registration is completed when organisers have received a registration fee by transfer*.

If the athlete represents the club and the participation fee is paid by the club, then fill in the registration field “Details for Invoice if needed” the name of the payer's full name, registration number, VAT payer's number (if any), official address, bank name, bank account number, SWIFT code and payer's e-mail. An invoice will be sent to the specified e-mail address within 14 hours.
If the details of the club (payer) are not specified in the registration, then it is not possible to request an invoice later.
Any payer (club or athlete) must pay within 24 hours of registration.

*Reference: “RACEDOG NIGHT RACE, athlete name, surname, discipline” (When writing in the discipline name, make sure that you are using a valid discipline name. Correct discipline names are listed at the beginning of the race regulation) and as well as the competition discipline and RACEDOG NIGHT RACE .

Otherwise payment will be invalid.

After filling out registration form You will no longer be able to change discipline or change athlete.

Athletes will not be allowed to share equipment in the competition.

A trail marked and specially developed for the Sleddog sport.

Awarding:
Three fastest athletes in each discipline will be awarded, if there will be at least 5 participants in each.
Athletes from outside Europe will also be awarded. Such as United Kingdom, Mexico, Canada, USA and others

Participants are awarded with:
Diplomas and sponsor prizes.

Doping Control:
Athletes and dogs can be tested for doping. Doping control can be carried out from September 21 till September 26 without notice any time, day or night.

Stake-out area:
Participants are not allowed to sell any sports equipment, sports products, dogs food and products, if not received written permission from the organizers. Participants may leave vehicles, trailers, dog cages and dog stake-out only where race judiciary assigns. At the stake-out area You are not allowed to reserve for your friends or team members that will arrive later any additional vehicle parking spots/places or mark a territory (using ropes, fences or any other means) for them.

At the stake-out area it is not allowed to leave dog alone.
Please note that electricity and water will not be available at the stake-out area.

Smoking:
At the race area smoking is not allowed.  Electronic cigarettes are also not allowed.

Start list / Results list:
The organizers of the race will put non-official start list in web page: www.racedogeuropean.lv
However, the OFFICIAL start list will be available ONLY on race day, starting from 10:00 at the info board.
Race start list order can not be changed by athletes.
Results will be published in webpage: www.fotofiniss.lv on 23.09.2023.

ATTENTION:
Each participant must arrive at the start corridor at least a 2 minutes before his start. The starts for bikejoring and scooter will be after every 1 minute, but for canicross 30 sek.
After the finish the Athlete must stay in the finish corridor until the finish judges allows to go out.
At the finish area it is not allowed to call the finishing dog by name, use whistle, make the dog fetch a ball or other toys to stimulate better finish time.

By registering for the race participants confirm that they agree to (before, after and during the race) be on photograph, video and audio materials for use in marketing and promotional activities.
No headphones or audio devices are allowed on the trail during the race.

Protests:
If a participant has noticed another participant abusing the rules during the race, he has to speak to the race marshall instantly after the finish and in 60 minutes time write protest with his signature, and has to pay 30 € bail to the race marshall.
If the race marshall accepts it as a valid protest the bail will be returned.
After race results are published on info board you have 15 minute period to submit a protest (signed with your signature) to the race marshall. Race judges, race marshall and organizers have rights to decide questions that are not included in race regulation.

Race numbers:
Each participant will have one number - waistcoat. The race numbers must not be damaged, cut, they may not be transferred to another person.
If participant loses number or damages it because of improper handling of it – 30 € penalty.

Technical requirements:
1) It is not allowed to use running or bike shoes with iron or plastic spikes for better grip. (This is for dog safety!)
2) Elastic line in canicross needs to be from 1,5m till 2,5m long in the expanded condition, in bikejoring and scooters from 2 m till 3 m long.
3) Bikes and scooters must have brakes.
All participants while in the distance, have to take a cell phones with them so we are able to reach you in case of any problem!

SAFETY:
Competitors are responsible for the condition of their own (and dogs) health and safety, and carry the responsibility to follow race rules and regulations of the event, by signing the application form.
Persons who are younger than 18 years of age application is to be signed by at least one of their parents or a guardian.

SPECIAL RULES:
1. Everyone will participate in the race at their own responsibility,
2. If someone is in need of help, be sure to help and inform the organizer,
3. In case of abandoning the race you can inform about it nearest judges on track.

NB! KEEP THE NATURE CLEAN!
Please don't throw trash (used packages, bottles) in the wood.
There are trash-bins in the race area.

Language:
Organizers provide information about the competition only in english and latvian.

Equipment and race rules, which is not mentioned in this regulation are according to IFSS rules.
